Tom Poggi joined The CAC Group in 1996 and has been a Principal with the firm since 2005. Tom has over 26 years of experience in commercial real estate in the San Francisco Market and is considered one of the premier office leasing brokers in the San Francisco market today. Tom's practice includes both tenant and landlord representation. He has the distinction of having completed two of the largest leases in San Francisco history under each of these practices.
The first large transaction was a tenant representation assignment in 2000 on behalf of JP Morgan Chase, who leased the entire 658,000 square feet at 560 Mission Street for their San Francisco headquarters. The transaction represents the largest lease completed in the history of San Francisco. Tom continues to represent JP Morgan Chase and thus far, has completed over 1.7 million square feet of transactions on the bank's behalf. Tom advises and represents many other leading companies on tenant representation assignments, including multiple transactions with the same companies over many years. Recently completed transactions include Keker Van Nest (totaling over 187,000 square feet), KKR (totaling over 105,000 square feet) and Fidelity Investments (totaling over 90,000 square feet)
The second large transaction was the landlord representation of TIAA, the owner of 50 Fremont Street (800,000 square feet). In January 2012, Salesforce.com leased over 401,000 square feet for the expansion of their company at this trophy property. This is the largest lease transaction completed in San Francisco since the JP Morgan transaction. Tom has a very significant project leasing practice which currently includes 555 California Street (1.5 million square feet), Market Center (770,000 square feet, 631 Howard/55Hawthorne (280,000 sf), 135 Main Street (260,000 square feet), The Ferry Building (175,000 square feet), and 222 Kearny Street (150,000 square feet)

Prior to joining The CAC Group, Tom spent 10 years at CB Commercial (Now CB Richard Ellis). Tom received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the University of Oregon.
