Matt Kroger is a Vice President at The CAC Group. Matt has over 7 years of experience in the San Francisco commercial real estate industry, working closely with the Principals of the firm, specializing in office leasing and investment sales in both the core CBD and the South of Market district.
Matt began his career with The CAC Group working closely with Principal John Cecconi on the San Francisco office portfolio of Beacon Capital Partners, encompassing 5 institutional CBD properties, totaling nearly 3.0 million square feet. Matt has continued to represent landlords and tenants in leasing transactions throughout CBD and SOMA.
Matt’s investment sales experience has included the sale or acquisition of leased assets and development sites throughout San Francisco, on behalf of investors, developers and owner/users. Matt’s leased-asset experience has included the marketing and/or sale of over 2 million square feet of office or mixed use properties in the CBD and SOMA submarkets, including core institutional high-rise, boutique historic properties and SOMA brick and timber. Matt’s development site experience has included the sale or acquisition of San Francisco development sites representing nearly 2,000 residential units.
Matt has been closely involved in the Transbay Redevelopment Plan within the South CBD and the Eastern Neighborhoods rezoning plan that encompasses SOMA, Showplace Square, Mission Bay, Yerba Buena, and the Mission.
A Bay Area native, Matt currently resides in Orinda with his wife and three children. He graduated from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN with a degree in Business, and also holds a MA in Psychology. Matt is an active member of The Vanderbilt Alumni Association, the Urban Land Institute Young Leaders, Moraga Valley Presbyterian Church, National Eagle Scout Association and a CCIM Candidate.
