Bill Cumbelich is a Founder and Principal of The CAC Group. His experience includes over 34 years of office building brokerage experience in San Francisco. Bill has completed a wide range of project leasing, tenant representation and investment sales assignments including many of San Francisco's most challenging and significant transactions and projects.
His most recent achievements in 2011 include several significant projects. Bill completed a 70,000 square foot lease renewal with Wells Fargo Bank on behalf of Interland Corporation. He completed two tenant representation assignments totaling 125,000 square feet on behalf of Goodby, Silverstein & Partners (His 15th and 16th transaction of GSP since 1995). Under his leadership in 2011, Market Center surpassed 900,000 square feet leased, making that landmark project the most successful office building complex of the decade in San Francisco.
In 2009 and 2010, he represented the owners of Levi's Plaza in the renewal of its anchor tenant lease with Levi Strauss & Co. for approximately 350,000 square feet. Bill represented Del Monte Corporation in the lease of approximately 152,000 square feet for its new corporate headquarters at One Maritime Plaza.
Bill's project experience ranges from significant project leasing assignments for institutional investors, foundations and individual landlords to tenant representation on behalf of major corporations, law firms and media companies. He has been involved with many sale transactions of office buildings and sites for office development. The breadth of Bill's experience, knowledge and relationships provide the ability to significantly influence the outcome of transactions and provide creative solutions, strong leadership and advocacy for clients. He is closely involved with many of the firm's clients on a daily basis in addition to firm-wide responsibilities.
Bill started his career in 1977 at Coldwell Banker & Co, where he spent over 12 years achieving the highest level of recognition for a producing broker. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute and Lambda Alpha real estate organizations. He served on the Mayor's Real Estate Brokers Taskforce, the Industrial Revenue Bond Commission and represented the City of San Francisco in Japan with Mayor Dianne Feinstein. He is also a board member of the Croatian Scholarship Fund.
Bill is Bay Area native and a graduate of the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana with a degree in finance. He is married and a father of four, a youth baseball coach and Sunday school teacher.
