Bay West Development owned, operated and managed the properties since the early 1980s and built The SFDC into one of the finest Design Centers in the nation with over a 50% regional market share. The beautifully-restored, historic brick and timber buildings were built in 1915 and converted to present use in the early 1970's, followed by extensive renovations in 1983 and 2001.

Bay West Development selected The CAC Group to develop a marketing and disposition strategy. The properties were introduced to institutional and private investors off-shore and domestically and transacted through a competitive process to The RREEF Funds. The sale validated the properties and the Showplace Square District within the institutional investment community.
